Christian Character Club

The Christian Character Club is for children from age 3 up through the 6th grade.  It meets during the school year every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until about 8:20 p.m.  The purpose of the CCC is to teach children about Biblical character traits.

The CCC uses two primary methods to accomplish its purpose:
  • Memorization of Scripture
  • Bible lessons
The motto of the CCC is "Building Lives for Christ."  Its theme verse is
I Corinthians 3:10:
"According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.  But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon."

For a typical Wednesday meeting, the children begin in the church auditorium with the adults and teens for singing, testimonies and announcements.  Then they are dismissed to their respective clubs:
  • Little Builders, ages 3 through 5
  • Apprentice, 1st through 3rd grades
  • Journeymen, 4th through 6th grades
In their club meetings, the children learn definitions of various character traits, memorize Bible verses that pertain to those traits, have a Bible lesson about a specific character trait, and spend time in prayer.
